Responsibilities

Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision

Extract primary data from Oracle databases using SQL

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and prepare ongoing reports

Provide timely and accurate data for internal and external requests

Identify, compile, and clean data for research projects

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Oversee evaluation and research projects

Communicate evaluation plans and details to leadership and stakeholders

Collaborate with external research partners to ensure clarity on data points and data sets

Develop and monitor internal and external data requests

Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data

Summarize and explain research findings and their implications

Prepare findings for publication

Develop, review, and abstract published research

Produce data visualization dashboards using Tableau

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field AND two years in a related lead or supervisory role

Associate's degree in a related field AND four years of related experience, including two years in a lead or supervisory role

Two years of experience at the lower-level IT Business Analyst or equivalent role

Preferred

Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), databases (SQL, Oracle), and programming (XML, JavaScript, ETL frameworks)

Extensive experience accessing and extracting data from institutional databases

Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

2+ years of experience in the criminal justice field and/or data management/analysis

Proficiency in querying, report writing, and presenting findings

Experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
