Responsibilities

You will focus on the continuous improvement of a broad range of mechanical and electrical products and systems
You will create test fixtures for mechanical and electrical testing
You will perform root cause analysis of product failures, propose corrective actions, and document your findings
You will be expected to collaborate with others across global teams encompassing engineering, marketing, sourcing, production, quality, and technical service
You will review product improvement proposals, develop test plans, and perform testing to ensure that the proposed changes are sound in design and thoroughly tested before being implemented
You will support both new product development and sustaining engineering activities

Required

Bachelor's degree – Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years related experience
Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Strong hands-on skills in a test lab environment
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Experience with marine electrical products
Experience working with a global cross functional team
Able to troubleshoot electrical systems and products to the PCBA board level
Familiar with the safe use of standard electrical test equipment such as: Digital multimeters and current probes, Benchtop power supplies, Oscilloscopes
Knowledge of AC (125/250 VAC) and DC battery (12/24 VDC) power distribution
