Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute service projects for IT Cooling systems at CPSD customer locations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
Perform and oversee installations, system start-ups, commissioning, and field modifications for advanced IT Cooling products with minimal supervision
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related failures across IT Cooling systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques
Lead contractors, MEPPI-designated personnel, technicians, and authorized service providers through all phases of service projects. Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to support skill development and quality execution
Deliver expert technical support via phone and email to internal teams, customers, third-party service organizations, and end users
Provide emergency technical support and on-call field service to resolve critical cooling issues and restore system operation
Schedule technical sales and service support activities, including emergency service calls, and assist in resolving service conflicts that arise during project execution
Assist engineering and product teams by identifying field issues and contributing to the planning and development of new IT Cooling products
Inspect and test returned products, components, and systems to determine defects and operational status
Maintain accurate service records and documentation, including service reports and findings. Submit timely and accurate expense reports in accordance with company policies
Work closely with representatives from other MEPPI Divisions to identify and address equipment- and service-related issues and opportunities
Further the goals and positive image of the Division by conducting business with MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers in a professional, timely, and cooperative manner
Identify and recommend service product offerings that support the long-term maintenance and reliability of customer capital investments
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in HVAC, Electrical/Electronics, or a related technical field required
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, including three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Mitsubishi Electric technology; or equivalent education and experience
Advanced knowledge of IT Cooling products and services with specialized expertise in Mitsubishi Electric technology
EPA Section 608 certification required
Advanced proficiency with mechanical and electronic test equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and bills of materials
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated leadership ability to direct the work of others on-site and during emergency situations
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office applications and MRP/ERP business systems
Frequent travel to customer sites nationwide
Work performed in data centers, industrial facilities, and mechanical/electrical rooms
Exposure to energized electrical equipment, rotating machinery, and HVAC systems
