Responsibilities

As an integral part of the economics and/or finance group at Chicago Booth, the Clark Center Research Fellow is free from teaching requirements, and is expected to pursue independent research in the field of market design, broadly defined
The specific area of study will reflect the research interests of the candidate
Organizes academic conferences, hosts acclaimed scholars, and engages with the rich intellectual life of Chicago Booth
Disseminates work and interacts with the research community through workshops, academic seminars, and conference talks
Engages in the intellectual environment of Chicago Booth through workshops, presentations, seminars, and collaboration with faculty and other researchers
Provides expertise to researchers on compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates
Provides expertise to researchers and research support staff. Oversees activities related to data collection and analysis
Performs other related work as needed

Required

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

Preferred

Doctoral degree in economics, finance, or a related field by start date
Prior experience preparing and presenting work at workshops or meetings
Demonstrated record of research achievement

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge in relevant field of research
Advanced knowledge of research techniques and/or methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
