They are seeking a motivated Marine Engineering Intern to assist with structural design and development of marine-related structures, collaborating on multidisciplinary projects and providing support to engineers.

Responsibilities

Interest in structural design and development of construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel marine-related structures (piers, bulkheads, docks, etc.) is preferred

Assists with work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, or equipment related to marine and waterfront engineering

Supports assignments such as design and development, materials testing, preparation of specifications, process studies, research investigations, report preparation, and other tasks of limited scope that require knowledge of engineering principles and techniques

Collaborates with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary marine design/engineering projects

Provides support to Engineers by preparing calculations, drawings, and documentation as directed

Incorporates feedback from Project or Technical Managers and makes adjustments to work products under supervision

Completes assignments in a timely and effective manner within established schedules

Exposure to different phases of design, construction administration, and bid phase services is a plus

Required

Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program

Valid Driver's License

Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment

Preferred

3.0 GPA or higher

Exposure to different phases of design, construction administration, and bid phase services is a plus
