Responsibilities
Lead, organize, and develop a team of software engineers in the Advanced Product and Solutions group
Conduct performance reviews, salary planning, and overall personnel development to ensure team growth and alignment with organizational goals
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to drive advanced product development
Drive the development of innovative software solutions, leveraging emerging technologies to meet mission-critical needs
Guide the team in adopting modern software development practices, including Agile and DevOps methodologies
Ensure compliance with Raytheon’s process and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle
Deliver projects aligned to cost, schedule, and quality requirements while adhering to organizational methodologies
Develop the team through training programs and skill-building initiatives, ensuring alignment with advanced product needs
Stay informed of emerging technologies in the APS domain and implement strategies to maintain the team's technical edge
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
Experience managing multiple software programs or development tasks while meeting cost and schedule objectives
Experience across all phases of software product development
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret
Preferred
Experience with Agile development concepts and DevOps practices for automated build/test/release pipelines
Experience with modern software development tools and configuration management systems, such as GIT or Subversion
Knowledge of advanced software architectures, including cloud-based solutions, real-time systems, and embedded software
