They are seeking a highly qualified investment analyst to perform fundamental credit analysis for a portfolio of investment grade companies and collaborate with portfolio management and trading professionals.

Responsibilities

Work closely with senior research analysts to perform fundamental credit analysis for a portfolio of investment grade companies
Monitor various industries, including changes or shifts in industry fundamentals that potentially affect company results and investment performance
Use financial models to analyze the capital structure and creditworthiness of existing and potential new investments
Review and summarize offering memoranda and present findings and recommendations to management
Collaborate with portfolio management and trading professionals to assess relative value and evaluate new investment opportunities
Analyze new transactions applying sound credit analysis, financial analysis, and research skills
Prepare credit memorandums and present research findings to a credit committee
Maintain timely reporting and documentation of transactions
Prepare topical presentations, portfolio reports, and other special projects

Qualification

Required

BA required - preferably with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or Engineering
5 to 10 years of experience in credit research involving both qualitative and quantitative analysis
Well-developed quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team with multiple reporting lines
Strong team player with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks
