Responsibilities
Reviews Occurrence/Variance Reports on a daily basis and formulates trending reports for analysis monthly
Assists the Risk Management Director in analysis of variance report trends and record reviews for sentinel events
Assist the Risk Management Director in preparing Patient Safety reports for presentations to medical staff and facility committees
Develops and prepares annual Patient Safety Plan and evaluation
Implement all necessary items for maximum premium credit
Works in collaboration with the department Directors/Managers to determine specific outcome measurements
Provides Patient Safety education and training to individuals and groups
Assists departments/service lines in developing specific patient safety goals
Oversee the coordination of multiple elements of the Patient Safety Program
Collaborates with other HCA entities to develop, implement and monitor processes that ensure the patient’s safety is maintained across the continuum
Qualification
Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
