Facilities Management Volunteer Coordinator - Yosemite National Park - Build Up Technical Internship Program

American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service, is seeking one member to contribute to projects alongside NPS Staff. The ACE Member will coordinate with volunteers and manage various aspects of the Facilities Management Volunteer program.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the YOSE Volunteer Group to organize Facility specific volunteers and work groups
Lead for organizing projects for VIPs to execute
Responsible for all aspects of the FM VIP program including organizing and scheduling, coordinating with internal FM groups, group training, safety, work planning, and execution
Cover field construction project checks to get a more in-depth knowledge of other Facilities work and project management

Required

Members must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident, as required by U.S. government contracts
Willing and able to represent ACE and the partner organization in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner
Ability to be both self-directed/work alone, and be a positive, contributing member of a group
A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record (documentation to be provided upon request). Members must be 21+ to drive due to ACE's insurance and liability requirements
Willing to undergo and must pass the required criminal history checks
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
ACE Members will need to complete bi-weekly timesheets, beginning of term feedback forms, end of term evaluations and for longer terms, a mid-term evaluation
Member may not participate in any prohibited activities as listed in the Member Service Agreement

Preferred

Competitive applicants for this position can hold or be pursuing a minimum of a Master's degree and/or have relevant experience in subject areas such as community organizing, volunteer management, and facility management
Knowledge of facility maintenance, arboriculture, and historic preservation
Ability and willingness to work independently and with a team
Deep interest in public lands and community engagement

Benefits

Living Allowance: The ACE Member is expected to contribute ~40 hours/week and will receive a living allowance of $1,000/week to offset the costs of food and incidental expenses, dispersed bi-weekly.
Housing: ACE members will be accommodated in provided housing at the cost range of approximately $235-$611, varying on unit type, on a bi-weekly basis for the duration of the term.
