Responsibilities
Assist with the design and preparation of substation design drawings and including:
Substation One Line and Three Line
Station General Arrangements & Sections
AC/DC Schematics
Substation Panel Layouts
Substation Panel Wiring
Electrical Details
Grounding Plan & Details
Conduit Plan & Details
Control Cubicle Layout, Sections, Cable Tray, Lighting, and Grounding
Low-Voltage AC Panels
Grounding Plan & Details
Lightning Protection
Illumination Plan & Details
Coordinate with other disciplines, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables
Participate in internal technical discussions, and project planning efforts
Apply client standards related to the work
Qualification
Required
By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
The ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to non-technical personnel
Basic knowledge of the electric grid
Strong organizational skills
Strong skills and capabilities in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
Preferred
Knowledge of power systems
Advanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel
