On-Board Services is an on-site contract service provider for a local manufacturing entity. They are seeking an Engineering Associate to gain hands-on experience in laboratory testing, equipment operation, and data collection while collaborating with a cross-functional engineering team.

Responsibilities

Operate and assist in the development of benchtop test equipment to characterize material properties and perform reliability testing

Quickly learn and become proficient in a variety of tests, tools, and processes

Solve routine technical problems using scientific and engineering principles

Use hand-held power tools for sample preparation, hardware modification, and fabrication projects

Collect, compile, and document test data accurately and in a timely manner

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members

Maintain laboratory organization, including sample labeling and proper waste disposal

Maintain, verify, and calibrate laboratory equipment as assigned

Take ownership and accountability for individual contributions and deadlines
