Responsibilities

Design and implement data governance policies and standards

Develop data classification, ownership, and lifecycle management processes

Drive data quality management and compliance with regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)

Manage metadata, data catalogs, lineage, and documentation

Lead governance forums and partner with security and technology teams

Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability

Oversee governance tools and ensure consistent data management practices

Required

4+ years of experience in data governance or management (leadership experience preferred)

Bachelor's or Master's in MIS, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred

Insurance industry experience a plus

Certifications such as CDMP or DM-BOK preferred
