Responsibilities
Provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter
Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives
Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills
Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts
Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious
Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives
Assignments are often self-initiated
Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product
Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management), or a specific functional area (e.g., finance, logistics, and operations research)
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate working knowledge of supporting AWS platform
Advanced skills in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS Code family, GitLab)
Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for declarative infrastructure management
Designing and maintaining deployment pipelines using CodePipeline and GitLab CI
Implementing git-based workflows for infrastructure and configuration management
Managing AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and account vending processes
Implementing guardrails and organizational policies
Transit Gateway, VPC peering, PrivateLink, and hub-spoke architectures
Building and operating container orchestration platforms with add-ons, service mesh, and cluster lifecycle management
Image scanning, admission controllers, pod security policies/standards
AWS Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty integration and automated remediation
Implementing identity-based networking and least privilege access patterns
KMS, CloudHSM, and encryption-at-rest/intransit strategies
Leveraging AWS native services to remediate security findings with event-driven architecture
Centralized Logging/Monitoring - CloudWatch, Cloudtrail, Splunk integration and implementation
FinOps practices, cost allocation tags, and automated rightsizing
Provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter
Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives
