Nesco Resource is seeking a Cloud Network Senior Engineer to lead and influence the design, delivery, automation, and support of network infrastructure services. Responsibilities

Independently build, maintain, and document infrastructure components for assigned work; perform reviews for all levels of engineering

Design solutions for overall health, performance, and availability; actively work on resolution of system and client experience impacts across one or more environments, applications, or platforms

Assign work, mentor, and train junior engineers; welcome and encourage upward feedback and perspectives from all levels of engineering

Advocate for new technology and improvements that will reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency; work cross-functionally to find synergies

Recommend and influence IT standards (e.g., information security, audit, compliance, etc.)

Assist in the development of strategies for building and maintaining new and existing solutions and capabilities

Create technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to deliver mature monitoring, improved resiliency, and high availability

Propose high-level infrastructure architectural guidelines. Formulate and design technical solutions to meet business needs and communicate cross-functionally to ensure the viability of solutions

Required

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar

3-5 years of overall IT experience working in a large enterprise environment

3-5 years of experience supporting and maintaining Palo Alto Network Security platforms, including setup, maintenance, upgrades, and replacement of the latest Palo Alto systems

Experience with Palo Alto firewall rules in a large, shared environment

Demonstrated ability to craft and understand Palo Alto firewall rule deployments

Experience with other firewall technologies in Cloud Environments (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.)

Knowledge of both LAN/WAN designs and the support processes for large network deployments

Knowledge of IPSec/VPN technology supporting a large enterprise

Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark, and analyzing network traffic

3-5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco network technologies

3-5 years of hands-on experience with F5 load balancer technologies

Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP network models

Experience in custom SSL, ciphers, and security traffic performance optimization

In-depth knowledge of networking and systems administration; ability to troubleshoot problems

Programming experience with Python, Ansible, and Terraform for automation services
