Apogem Capital, a part of New York Life, is seeking a Senior Associate, LIS Tool Developer to support their Core Modernization initiative. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain Excel-based scenario testing tools for retail life insurance products, ensuring accurate policy administration as the company transitions to new technology.

Responsibilities

Design and update scenario testing tools in Excel to support product configuration and lifecycle analysis for our Retail Life products

Collaborate with the Automation Development team to integrate automation features and ensure effective interaction with the testing tools

Monitor tool efficiency and reliability, making adjustments as needed to improve usability and performance

Provide clear documentation and communicate findings within the team to support ongoing product development and modernization efforts

Qualification

Life Insurance knowledgeExcel modelingIRC Section 7702 knowledgeVBA experienceAgile environment experienceQA review knowledgeTesting techniques understandingCommunication skills

Required

Extensive knowledge of Life Insurance products and product functionality

Strong Excel skills

General understanding of IRC Section 7702 and 7702A

Strong communication skills

Preferred

Experience working in Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

Experience working in an Agile software development environment

Working knowledge of the QA review and testing process, designing test scenarios, including understanding various testing techniques and tools, and technology impacts
