Document Control Specialist
Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist for their growing practice in energy, manufacturing, and bioprocessing projects. This role is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation to ensure accuracy, version control, and compliance with company and project standards.

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all project documentation within Procore, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and reports
Upload, index, distribute, and archive documents in accordance with established document control procedures
Ensure accurate version control and revision tracking; verify that only current, approved documents are accessible to project teams
Implement and enforce document naming conventions, folder structures, and workflows within Procore
Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and distributions with engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients
Coordinate the receipt, distribution and review of submittals from vendors and contractors, including tracking status and revisions
Monitor document status and follow up to ensure timely processing and compliance with project schedules
Archive superseded or obsolete documents to prevent unintended use
Support QA/QC processes, audits, and project closeout by maintaining complete and accurate records
Provide guidance and support to team members on Procore document management best practices
Generate reports and assist with document-related metrics as needed
Qualification
Required
Two (2) + years of document control experience in an engineering or construction environment
Proficiency with Procore document management tools; experience with drawings, submittals, and RFIs preferred
Strong understanding of document control processes, and revision management
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred
Experience with drawings, submittals, and RFIs preferred
Familiarity with engineering documentation standards and QA/QC requirements preferred
