Responsibilities

Lead financial strategy and preparation for Seed+/Series A fundraising
Build and refine the company’s financial model, business plan, and investor materials
Partner with the CEO in investor outreach, meetings, and presentations
Clearly articulate the company’s financial position, growth plan, and capital needs to investors and VCs
Provide strategic financial guidance to support scaling from early revenue to the next growth stage
Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO during the fundraising process

Required

Senior-level CFO or fractional CFO experience in startups
Proven track record of raising capital (Seed, Seed+, or Series A rounds)
Experience supporting companies scaling from approximately $1M to $10M in revenue
Strong understanding of VC and investor expectations at early growth stages
Ability to confidently represent the company in investor-facing settings
US-based required

Preferred

Strong preference for candidates located in or near the Washington, D.C. (DMV) area, though exceptional candidates elsewhere in the US will be considered
Experience in communications, telecom, or adjacent technology sectors is a plus
CPA is not required
