This role involves hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly, equipment setup, testing support, troubleshooting, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality spacecraft build and validation.

Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly, wire harnessing, and soldering for spacecraft hardware
Apply epoxy bonding and polymeric materials for spaceflight structures
Perform precision torque applications for fastener installation
Maintain workspace per ESD, FOD, and 5S compliance
Conduct calibrations and preventive maintenance for electronic equipment
Document and resolve discrepancies, non-conformances, and defects
Use production and quality tools including Solumina MES, TipQA, Windchill, CREO View
Lead and support test configuration setups
Install, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), including racks and bench equipment
Assist engineers with cable design, test configuration, and test setups
Execute test scripts via Maestro and AstroR
Verify test completion, record results, and maintain documentation
Support critical and hazardous operations as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent technical training with 4-6 years of Mechanical or Manufacturing Technician experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Hands-on experience with aerospace hardware, harness build, and soldering
Strong understanding of AC/DC electronics, resistance measurements, circuits, troubleshooting
Experience working in clean rooms and handling spacecraft hardware
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions
Willingness to work 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends, and OT
Preferred
Experience with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, signal analyzers
Knowledge of RF/microwave components (filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers)
Experience with cryogenic systems (dilution refrigeration, 4K cryo-coolers, ADR, liquid helium immersion)
