Fleet Mechanic

Menards is seeking a Full-Time Fleet Mechanic to maintain their fleet of equipment and vehicles. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and performing maintenance on various types of vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet DOT standards.

Responsibilities

Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair
Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts
Perform maintenance work to DOT standard for over the road equipment
Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment
General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units
Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections
Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed

Required

Must have some direct mechanical experience or an accredited Technician Degree
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Proficient welding and maintenance experience
Must be able to take direction from management and the ability to work independently
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. occasionally
