Epic Cadence Analyst III
Smilow Cancer Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care and is seeking an Epic Cadence Analyst III to lead clinical systems needs analysis and design. The role involves customizing and programming modules for clinical systems, coordinating multi-departmental projects, and providing high-level client support.

Responsibilities
Demonstrates in-depth understanding of Clinical systems integration, and provides technical guidance in analytical, planning, and programming tasks
Coordinate projects consisting of multi departmental team members
Maintain application tables, dictionaries, and parameters required for system operation, upgrades, and configuration in accordance with change control process to ensure legality and feasibility
Participates and directs clients to define and document current and future clinical needs
Analyze feasibility of Client's requests/needs including but not limited to data analysis and resource identification
Develop Project Plans by defining phase content, estimating time, and resource requirements
Promote positive and constructive client working relationships
Functions as a liaison between customer and vendor; coordinates with vendor to resolve problems
Identify problems
Open Customer Support Case with vendor and provide needed information
Continue to work with vendor to achieve problem resolution
Anticipates and plans for System upgrades and the impact on existing environments
Review vendor documentation regarding changes and upgrades
Identify potential areas of impact to current systems
Prepare test plans adhering to any regulatory standards for testing
Perform testing functions
Perform quality assurance of system enhancements, upgrades before implementation
Record test results for future reference
Provides third-tier (highest level) client support
Investigate reported problem
Identify resources needed to resolve issue
Coordinate resources to implement problem resolution
Mentors other co-workers to develop knowledge of applications, and acts as an expert advisor
Provide clinical systems analysts with tools to enhance their knowledge and assist them with developing problem solving skills
Provide constructive feedback for optimal system/client efficiency
Maintains Service Level Support Standard for all Low Level to Urgent Level Problems: including acknowledgement of problem and resolution of problem
Urgent = 1 hour acknowledged and 6 hours resolution
High = 3 hours acknowledged and 12 hours resolution
Medium = 1 business day acknowledged and 3 days resolution
Low = 2 days acknowledged and 5 days resolution
Performs other job related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree is required
Five or more years in an inpatient or hospital ambulatory environment
Proficient in computer skills using documents and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office Suite)
Experience in clinical workflow documentation and practice
Familiarity with relational database and client-server concepts
At least three years experience participating in software development, installation and sustaining activities, including planning, design, coding, testing and problem resolution
Must have a current driver's license and an acceptable driving record
Leadership skills to support multi-client types, including Physicians, Nursing, Ancillaries, Remote Sites and Administration
Able to manage direct customer service situations and to adapt to situations in a self-directed environment
Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary groups to reach consensus on system design, content, and implementation
Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office products and electronic spreadsheets
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
Preferred
Master's degree
Microsoft Project experience helpful but not required
