The intern will gain knowledge of HR processes by supporting day-to-day activities, contributing to process improvements, and participating in projects relevant to the HR profession.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, data changes, and offboarding by maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems and ensuring timely completion of transactions
Assist in reviewing and improving People team workflows and documentation to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience
Contribute to special projects across the People Experience team—such as process audits, data reporting, or supporting the day-to-day crew experience —to gain exposure to core HR functions and best practices
Identify and document future business processes, including potential gaps and areas for optimization in existing processes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (human resources, organizational development, business administration, communications, sociology, psychology, etc.)
Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship
Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
Strong interest in human resources
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and proactive about recognizing issues and finding viable solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience working with Excel, Microsoft Office, or Google Suite
Experience working in a customer service oriented/administrative experience
Knowledge or v-lookups and other elevated Microsoft excel skills
Knowledge of HRIS or ticketing systems
