Grant Program Coordinator
The Komen Graduate Training Program at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center focuses on reducing health disparities in cancer care. Responsibilities
Support administrative planning for grant and contract submissions with HDR principal investigators and postdoctoral trainees
Coordinate submission and review process, performing quality checks for compliance with sponsor instructions
Ensure accuracy in formatting, budgeting, and other components following departmental procedures
Update departmental records and reports as needed
Assist with planning and submission of grant progress reports for HDR faculty and trainees
Perform quality checks on progress reports for compliance with agency instructions
Update departmental records and reports as needed
Conduct monthly reconciliation for HDR funds and projects and maintain backup documentation
Manage HDR chartfield string spreadsheet and act as backup statistical sample coordinator
Arrange meetings, book rooms, and coordinate catering and equipment
Process conference registrations, travel arrangements, and reimbursements
Assist with onboarding new hires, including equipment setup and badge access
Coordinate departmental activities and routine meetings
Manage procurement and maintain office and kitchen supplies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Three years extensive administrative experience or one year of experience required with preferred master's degree
Preferred
Master's Degree
Experience with advanced Excel functions, including complex formulas and multi-sheet data management
Prior experience with grant submission and grant management is a plus, along with finance and budgeting expertise
