Megasys Quality Engineer
EMD Electronics is a global company dedicated to advancing digital living through high-tech materials and services. They are seeking a Quality Engineer for their MEGASYS® division in Taylor, TX, responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards and enhancing customer relationships through collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain inspection reports for safety and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
Conduct regular audits of operations and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
Perform root cause investigations for quality issues and develop Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence
Maintain and update quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions
Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and report findings to management, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Cross functional collaboration and support with PSM program
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, etc.) or Chemistry
5+ years of experience in a quality engineering or assurance role
1+ years experience with facilitation of FMEAs
1+ years of experience with quality management systems, ISO 9001, and industry standards
1+ years of experience in conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis
OR High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or assurance
3+ years experience with facilitation of FMEAs
3+ years of experience with quality management systems, ISO 9001, and industry standards
3+ years of experience in conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis
Preferred
Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or ultra-high purity operations
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
