They are seeking a Director of Animation to lead and scale their 3D Blender animation efforts, focusing on producing high-quality animations while managing and building a large team of animators.

Responsibilities
Leading and scaling our 3D Blender animation pipeline for short-form storytelling
Setting creative and technical standards for character animation, camera work, look development, shaders, and simulations
Recruiting, training, and managing animation teams at scale (50-100 animators)
Leveraging your existing network (“rolodex”) of animators to accelerate growth
Creating efficient systems, workflows, and quality control processes
Collaborating closely with writers, editors, and leadership to turn stories into high performing visuals
Delivering consistently under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
Qualification
Required
Proven, professional experience in 3D animation and editing, with strong Blender expertise
Deep knowledge of character animation, cinematography, lookdev, shader effects, and simulations
Prior experience leading animation teams and managing production at scale
Strong communication skills and comfort working with fully remote teams
A creative problem-solver who can independently develop smart, original solutions
Someone energized by the challenge of building something big from the ground up
