Responsibilities

Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules
Reports to and follows the directions of the Production Supervisors
Ability to safely operate moving equipment and make the appropriate adjustments to the process and equipment to manufacture a correctly, defect free, packaged case and labeled bottle
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity to specifications and standard operating procedures
Inspect formed cases, shrink wrapped cases, labeled bottles, and bottles placed in carriers, verifying and adjusting the process and equipment to meet finished goods specifications
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor
Supply packaging equipment with materials such as corrugate, shrink film, labels, carriers, stretch wrap and slip sheets
Proactively monitor the production line, packers, conveyors, labelers and watches for problems such as pile-ups or jams. Efficiently clears jams and continues production
Escalate issues in line with escalation procedure
Count and record finished and rejected materials
Clean the packaging equipment, coder, conveyors, labelers and surrounding areas. Maintain the entire packaging area in an audit ready condition during production
Troubleshoot problems, perform minor repairs using the correct tools, oil and perform Preventive Maintenance on the packaging and labeling equipment
Demonstrate monitoring skills, using visual observation of gages and listening to mechanical sounds to make sure the equipment is working properly
Aid in the training of new personnel
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualification

Industrial Truck Operator LicenseEquipment operationBasic computational skillsVerbal communicationWritten communication

Required

A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
High School level verbal and written communication skills
Basic computational skills required. Simple math and reasoning required
Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period
Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License and understand line controls
