Responsibilities
Analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine roofing needs
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and materials
Prepare comprehensive proposals and bids to clients
Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to ensure estimates meet project goals
Track and manage all bidding activity, ensuring timely follow-up and communication with clients
Maintain a strong knowledge of industry standards, roofing systems, and best practices
Review and analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator or similar role
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and construction methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimates
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
Preferred
Experience with project management software
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
