Sr Creative Program Manager, News Group

Responsibilities
Partner with Product Marketing to understand marketing roadmaps, business goals, and creative strategy to deliver on those goals
Serve as the dedicated point of contact for Yahoo Sports’ annual and quarterly creative planning as it relates to resource and budget allocation—constantly pushing upstream with product marketing, cascading relevant information to Production, Creative and Agency Management teams
In partnership with Product Marketing Managers, lead end-to-end management of creative marketing programs and campaigns, from concept through delivery
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows to ensure alignment across creative, marketing, and cross-functional teams
Manage project intake, prioritization, and resource allocation for creative initiatives
Partner with a dedicated Associate Creative Director, producers, designers, copywriters, animators, and developers to translate marketing goals into compelling creative output
Facilitate brainstorming and creative review sessions to ensure ideas are strategically aligned and deliver on objectives
Serve as the primary liaison between creative teams and marketing stakeholders to maintain consistent communication and expectations
Implement and optimize tools, processes, and frameworks for efficient creative production and campaign delivery
Track key milestones, budgets, and performance metrics for all marketing programs
Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues to maintain timelines and quality
Coordinate with brand, product, and lifecycle marketing as well as media and CRM teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution across channels
Partner with analytics teams to measure creative effectiveness and apply insights to future campaigns. Advocate for creative excellence while balancing business priorities and operational feasibility
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns
Strong understanding of creative workflows, from briefing to production
Experience in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment with product and marketing, managing stakeholder dynamics in a large organization
Experience setting priorities, problem-solving and multitasking
Experience prioritizing competing needs by taking a broad perspective to problems and identifying strategic and creative solutions
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Monday.com, Wrike, Jira, etc.)
Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining focus on quality and detail
Preferred
Experience working with creative management tools and project management software (e.g., Airtable, Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Jira)
Familiarity with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma etc
