Instrument Test Technician

Responsibilities
Perform functional and release testing on instruments
Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions
Provide optimization solutions for system performance including movement and light systems
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Provide training and mentoring to associates on mechanical and testing activities
Perform production activities in compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
Perform standard material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
Maintain housekeeping standards including cleaning, organizing, and safety practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to build, integrate, and understand full instrument assembly processes
Proficiency in test instructions for at least one moderately complex instrument
Ability to analyze test data to determine pass or fail results and provide solutions
Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs
Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
AA degree in mechatronics or a related field with no prior experience, or equivalent experience with at least five years in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
