Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software applications for IBM z/OS and CICS environments
Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code in Cobol, C/C++, and ASM languages
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of developed solutions
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in development practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in Mainframe development, with expertise in IBM z/OS and CICS
Proficiency in Cobol, C/C++, and ASM programming languages
Working knowledge and understanding of VSAM, JCL, DFSORT, IBM Utilities, and TSO/ISPF
Experience with CICS Command-level application programming
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels

Preferred

Experience with DB2 or other mainframe databases
Familiarity with version control systems such as Microsoft TFS
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
