Responsibilities

Design & Strategy: Define LIMS architecture, technical roadmaps, and integration strategies (APIs, middleware) for scalable, compliant systems

Implementation: Configure, customize, and oversee deployment of LIMS (e.g., StarLIMS, LabWare) and integrate instruments/other systems

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with lab users, IT, and business leaders to translate needs into technical solutions

Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (GxP) and internal IT policies, managing technical debt and system integrity

Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, mentor teams, manage documentation, and drive continuous improvement

Support & Training: Oversee L3 support, problem management, and conduct user training

Required

Deep knowledge of LIMS software (StarLIMS, LabWare, etc.) and lab processes

Strong understanding of GxP, validation, data integrity, and regulatory requirements

Technical documentation (flow diagrams, UML) and system architecture skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; certifications (ITIL, TOGAF) are a plus

Preferred

10 years experience with system integrations, APIs (REST/SOAP), databases (SQL), and cloud platforms is preferred

The Open Group - Master Certified Architect (or equivalent)

Prior hands-on experience working in a Mainframe environment

Experience in the following types of Mainframe projects – Modernise On, Integrate With and Move Off

Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM Software Products as well as 3rd party Mainframe software
