ERISA & Employee Benefits Attorney
Verrus is a prestigious law firm specializing in Employee Benefits and Executive practice, looking to expand their team. The ERISA & Employee Benefits Attorney will advise clients on ERISA fiduciary rules, counsel on retirement plan compliance, and support transactions with benefits guidance.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on ERISA fiduciary and prohibited transaction rules
Counsel on qualified and non-qualified retirement plan compliance
Draft and review executive compensation, incentive, and equity plans
Support M&A, private equity, and finance transactions with benefits and compensation guidance
Assist with DOL and IRS audits, plan corrections, and related litigation or enforcement matters
Stay current on legislative and regulatory developments impacting benefits and compensation
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years experience in ERISA / Employee Benefits / Executive Compensation within a law firm
Demonstrated experience in both Title I fiduciary and transactional benefits work
Strong technical knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and DOL/Treasury regulations
Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
Candidate must be admitted and in good standing in the jurisdiction where they reside and practice
