Manufacturing Engineer
Royal Engineered Composites is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to enhance quality, safety, and productivity in manufacturing. The role involves managing projects focused on process improvements, alternative manufacturing methods, and production tooling design, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration across various functions.

Responsibilities
Support of existing parts and programs in production
Review and participate in Material Review Board processes for nonconforming materials
Work with machine shops to repair/replace production tooling
Design and improve manufacturing processes
Understand the production and supply chain strategies in use by Royal and their impact on production flow and plant layout
Understand the importance of constraints to flow and apply continuous improvement methodologies to optimize constraint utilization
Continuously seek to improve the touch time to total time ratio (5T Ratio)
Manage continuous improvement projects coordinating with multiple functional departments
Analyze workflow, processes, layout, and equipment to ensure safe, effective production of quality parts
Evaluate and implement new technologies (ex. Automation, tooling, software) including testing and trials
Collect data, conduct analysis and make continuous improvement recommendations based on information and trends
Ensure that tasks are being completed according to specifications
Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable
Company travel via airplane and/or vehicle as needed
Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company
Specification testing per customer and certification requirements
Support continuous improvements in process quality in order to reduce scrap
Assist in the development of bids and capital expenditure budgets
Support implementation of new programs and methodologies
Qualification
Required
3+ years experience working with manufacturing processes relating to hand assembly, finishing, and CNC
Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. An individual must therefore be a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. 'US Person' includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
