Responsibilities

Magnetic Component Design: Design and optimize custom transformers, inductors, planar magnetics, chokes, and filters for high-frequency switching power converters and related systems

Prototype Development & Evaluation: Build, test, analyze, and refine prototypes to validate electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance

Customer Interaction: Collaborate directly with customers to clarify specifications, understand constraints, and prioritize design requirements

Simulation & Analysis: Apply circuit analysis, electromagnetic modeling, and design tools (e.g., SPICE-based simulators, 3D CAD, FEA tools) to validate and optimize designs

Testing & Characterization: Develop specialized test methods and construct test circuits/fixtures to characterize magnetic components under operational conditions

Supplier & Technology Interface: Coordinate with material and component suppliers; stay informed on the latest technology, materials, and industry best practices

Documentation: Produce clear, accurate documentation including design reports, test results, BOMs, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
