Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges. The External Affairs Manager will build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to advance shared priorities and oversee Government Affairs-related events and sponsorships in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities

Produce external affairs communication to partners including regular updates on legislative and campaign activity as well as collaboration opportunities

Serve as liaison for specific Capitol Hill committee relationships

Represent AFP at coalition meetings, conferences, and events

Oversee Washington DC sponsorships and support Government Affairs-related marquee events

Oversee all coalition letter activity

Produce intelligence updates on key legislative priorities

Required

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

A highly driven, go getter attitude

Existing relationships and credibility with key stakeholders

Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
