They are seeking a Bilingual Staff Attorney who will manage a varied family law caseload and represent clients in court, ensuring access to legal support for individuals and families in need.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Prepare pleadings, Judicial Council forms, and legal correspondence across multiple family law matters
Conduct client interviews and provide ongoing legal guidance
Negotiate with opposing parties and counsel
Represent clients in hearings before the Marin County Superior Court
Maintain accurate records for timekeeping and grant reporting purposes
Support organizational fundraising activities and community events as needed
Qualification
Required
Member in good standing of the State Bar of California
Fluent in Spanish (required)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team-based environment
Commitment to providing services with cultural awareness and trauma-informed care
Strong verbal, written, research, and interpersonal skills
Alignment with FACLC's mission and client-centered approach to legal services
Preferred
Experience or familiarity with family law, domestic violence, and SIJS is preferred but not required
