Responsibilities
Prepare and process monthly client invoices for engineering projects, including time-and-materials, fixed-fee, and cost-plus billing
Review contracts to ensure billing complies with agreed terms, milestones, and rates
Analyze project costs, labor hours, and expenses to ensure accurate billing
Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies and unbilled revenue
Maintain billing schedules and track work-in-progress (WIP)
Assist with revenue recognition and support month-end close activities
Respond to client billing inquiries and resolve invoice issues
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and audit standards
Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
2+ years of billing or accounting experience, preferably in an engineering, construction, or professional services environment
Experience with project-based billing and contract review
Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Deltek, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred)
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred
Experience with AIA billing or government contracts
Understanding of revenue recognition principles
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
