Responsibilities
Help facilitate journalism workshops and group activities for a cohort of 10-12 VMCers. This includes facilitating the daily welcome (go-around question, icebreaker/energizer, agenda overviews, introduction of guest speakers), journalism education workshops, and closing out the day (reflections, announcements, important reminders for the next day)
Create and maintain a VOXy safe and welcoming environment that upholds VOX ATL values and helps participants to feel free to use their voice
Support VMCers as a story coach. Help them work through creative blocks, develop their story ideas, and assist and support them during story production
Work with VMCers to prepare them for presentation day by giving feedback and encouragement
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be previously registered participants in VOX programming
Applicants for the VMC internship program must have published at least 2 pieces of content with VOX in any format (article, video, or podcast)
Applicants must have previously attended a VOX publishing meeting
