Responsibilities

Lead the development of robust and performant backend software solutions, encompassing RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-native technologies
Architect and implement scalable software systems to support current and future business requirements
Drive the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, ensuring alignment with cloud-native principles
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend components with other layers of the infrastructure

Required

Proficiency in Python, PHP, or TypeScript/JavaScript, with a focus on backend development
Extensive experience in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and debug software defects effectively, for example even driven architectures and high-throughput data pipelines
Deep understanding of principles and methodologies of deploying production SaaS platforms
Expertise in cloud services, particularly AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or DigitalOcean
Hands-on experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch, ArangoDB, Neo4j)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven track record of translating business requirements into technical specifications
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies for software development
