Senior Data Warehouse Architect (Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice exp required)
Morph Enterprise is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Architect with experience in Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice. The role involves creating Data Warehouse BI applications, including ETL/data mart development, reporting, dashboards, and other information analysis and delivery systems.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical study
6+ years creating Data Warehouse BI applications, including ETL/data mart development, reporting, dashboards, and other information analysis and delivery systems
2+ years of Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, Juvenile Services, or related experience
SQL Assistant and Teradata Studio experience; BI applications
End-user training experience
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Strong verbal and written communication skills with programmers, analysts, supervisors, management, system users, operations, other agencies, and private-sector partners
Ability to meet with users to clarify requirements and define problems and development plans
Strong analytical skills to gather, correlate, and analyze facts; draw conclusions; define problems; and recommend solutions
Experience working with data modelers and developers to modify logical designs into physical designs suited for reporting needs
Ability to design applications with consideration for data reconciliation to source systems, query/report performance, and analytical business value
Experience presenting requirements and findings during project reviews, workgroups, and technical review meetings
Ability to consult with agency clients to explain complex IT processes and solutions and maintain effective communication plans related to project metrics and reporting
Experience assisting architects or DBAs in drafting technical database models that comply with audit separation of duties, capture data element requirements, and meet application needs
Experience reviewing and approving system documentation updates
Ability to assess impacts of legislative, enhancement, or process changes and communicate risks to existing IT solutions
Experience providing technical expertise for project estimating and budgeting
Experience serving as a team lead, guiding code development and mentoring other developers
Ability to identify opportunities for programming process or tool standardization
Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
Knowledge of change management processes for production system fixes
Experience reviewing and approving test plans, including incorporation of security requirements
