Director of Compliance
Silicon Valley Medical Development is a growing healthcare provider organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, community-based ambulatory care. The Director of Compliance is responsible for developing and managing a compliance program to ensure adherence to laws and ethical standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to identify risks and ensure regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the implementation of the network’s compliance policies, procedures, and annual work plan
Ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, CMS, DHCS, and commercial payer requirements
Coordinate with El Camino Health System Compliance to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide standards
Lead and manage internal audits and monitoring activities related to billing, documentation, referral patterns, and regulatory adherence
Conduct and document investigations of reported compliance concerns and implement corrective action plans as needed
Oversee response to government audits, inquiries, and compliance-related external reviews
Design and deliver compliance education programs for physicians, employees, and contractors
Maintain ongoing training on code of conduct, privacy, security, fraud/abuse prevention, and emerging regulatory topics
Monitor federal and state regulatory developments and communicate implications for business practices
Review and support contractual compliance related to payers, vendors, and business associates
Ensure organizational readiness for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys
Prepare compliance reports for executive leadership, board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed
Collaborate with Legal, HR, Revenue Cycle, and IT to manage compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies
Support enterprise risk management initiatives and integrate compliance data into overall risk assessments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Law, Business, or related field required
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive compliance experience in a healthcare delivery setting, medical group, or integrated health system
Proven expertise in healthcare laws, regulations, and payer requirements
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, compliance program elements, and risk management principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and educate at all organizational levels
Proficiency in preparing audit documentation, corrective action plans, and regulatory filings
Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them in an operational context
High integrity, discretion, and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters
Preferred
Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
Certification in Healthcare Compliance (e.g., CHC, CHPC) strongly preferred
