Responsibilities
Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel
Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities
Writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products
Interfaces with customer; works under limited supervision
Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets
Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques
Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers
Plans detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases
Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools
Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements
Determines priorities, lead times, and shop floor schedules
Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records
Ability to track and monitor machine capacity to include labor
Sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of experience working in a highly technical manufacturing/production work environment
Technical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work in a team environment
Ability to obtain/maintain a clearance, if the customer changes requirements
Ability to change shifts, as required by the program; Shifts include: Days, Nights, Weekends and Weekend Nights
Preferred
A&P License
Prior E-6B experience
Able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret DoD clearance
Experience performing major aircraft modifications
Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Experience authoring, modifying, and auditing work procedures
