Responsibilities
Ensure strong governance, ethical oversight, and regulatory compliance
Monitor organizational performance against mission and strategic goals
Contribute executive-level insight to long-term strategy and growth
Engage in high-quality decision-making around risk, sustainability, and impact
Partner with the CEO/Executive Director at the governance level
Support leadership through strategic inflection points and organizational evolution
Attend and actively participate in board meetings
Serve on at least one committee aligned with expertise (e.g., Finance, Strategy, Governance, Audit)
Qualification
Required
Current or former C-suite executives, senior leaders, or founders
Leaders with experience navigating complexity, scale, or change
Strong strategic judgment and governance mindset
High integrity, accountability and mission alignment
Interest in meaningful board service with real influence
Preferred
Prior nonprofit board experience is helpful but not required
