ABM Industries is seeking a Building Engineer to support the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems. The role involves troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to service requests to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC/R equipment, including air handlers, chillers, and refrigeration systems

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC/R and associated systems to ensure optimal performance

Respond to and resolve on-demand HVAC service requests from building tenants

Assist with basic carpentry, metal work, painting, and hard surface maintenance and repair

Perform light plumbing repairs, including restroom fixtures and minor leaks

Work on elevated platforms and in confined spaces as required

Respond to customer requests professionally, ensuring timely service and resolution

Accurately complete work orders, reports, and documentation as required

Assist in emergency situations, including after-hours calls

Follow safety protocols, fire codes, and emergency procedures, reporting unsafe conditions

Maintain clean and organized work areas after completing tasks

Work collaboratively under the direction of the Chief Engineer to ensure building systems operate efficiently

Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge

Assist in training new employees as directed
