Senior Pre-Sales Consultant – AWS Partnership
FPT Americas is expanding its partnership with AWS and is seeking a Senior AWS Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to lead AI, Data Analytics, and Cloud Migration initiatives. The role involves customer engagement, solution design, and collaboration with sales teams to deliver impactful cloud modernization projects.
Responsibilities
Support sales throughout the engagement lifecycle—qualification, opportunity shaping, and deal progression
Lead customer envisioning workshops and strategic consulting sessions to understand business objectives challenges, and cloud maturity
Facilitate discovery focused on AWS AI/ML , Data & Analytics , and Migration (e.g. mainframe modernization, application re-platforming, SAP migration)
Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility assessments, coordinate RFP responses, and POC scoping
Translate customer business needs into AWS solution approaches, matching technologies to industry-specific and business requirements
Deliver technical presentations and executive briefings to C-level and technical stakeholders
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for proposals, architectures, and customer deliverables
Collaborate with FPT special programs teams on solution/accelerator development including ROI/TCO modeling
Design solution proposals and reference architectures addressing customer business challenges
Partner with FPT industry teams to incorporate industry-specific best practices
Develop pre-sales AWS collateral for US/Canada and target industries
Share best practices and reusable assets from customer engagements
Execute co-sell engagements with AWS account teams, partner solutions architects, and specialists
Register and progress opportunities through AWS Partner Central and ACE
Drive AWS competency attainment
Contribute to AWS publications, case studies, and reference architectures
Collaborate with FPT's Competency & Training Center (CTC) to upskill teams
Represent FPT at industry events, workshops, partner days, and joint marketing initiatives
Qualification
Required
7+ years of enterprise pre-sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing cloud architecture experience
5+ years of hands-on AWS experience with demonstrable expertise in strategic consulting, pre-sales roles, and executing Proof-of-Concepts
Deep technical expertise in at least 2 of the 3 following focus areas: AI/ML: Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, generative AI architectures, MLOps, AI/ML business use cases
Data & Analytics: Data warehousing (Redshift), data lakes (Lake Formation), analytics modernization, AWS IoT
Migration: Application Migration, Database Migration, mainframe modernization, application refactoring and re-platforming, SAP on AWS
Proven track record leading customer workshops and shaping complex, multi-million dollar transformation deals
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate technical concepts and business value to executives and technical audiences
Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework, security best practices, and cost optimization strategies
Preferred
Experience with AWS ACE registration, co-sell deal execution, and partner program navigation
Experience driving AWS competency attainment including audit preparation, case study development, and technical validation requirements
Industry expertise in Manufacturing/Automotive, Life Sciences/Healthcare, Financial Services, or Retail
Hands-on consulting or architecture experience with AWS migration tools, Cloud Pricing, Amazon Connect, SAP, Databricks, or mainframe modernization
Experience with AWS funding programs (MAP, POC credits, service credits)
Familiarity with competitive cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) for competitive positioning
