Software Engineer

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Design and develop building automation control strategies to optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort
Install, configure, and commission control systems including BACnet, Niagara, and other protocols
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems, networking, and hardware
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met
Conduct system testing, calibration, and performance analysis to ensure operational excellence
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams on automation systems
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, PLC programming, networking protocols, and cybersecurity principles
Excellent problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies

Preferred

Relevant certifications such as BACnet, Niagara, or CCNA
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building automation, control systems, or related technical roles
