Start in 2026 SummerBurgess & Niple is looking for a Summer 2026 Summer Intern for their Construction Services department. The intern will be responsible for daily inspection efforts on various projects and ensuring quality control and contract compliance during construction activities.

Responsibilities
Responsible for daily inspection efforts on complex and/or diverse projects that require construction experience in roadways, bridges, utilities, grading and/or drainage
Monitors work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction
Provides report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received
Performs on-site material testing and verification
Create and compile close out / final construction records documents for submission
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
You are a current student in good standing pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university
Strong organization and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
Willingness to work in a team setting both in the office and in the field
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Housing and transportation to/from work is the responsibility of the co-op. Parking is provided
