IT Cybersecurity Specialist (NET/ARC)

The United States Secret Service, through its Office of the Chief Information Officer, is looking for an IT Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance their IT and communications infrastructure. This role involves developing, implementing, and sustaining technologies to support the agency's protective and investigative missions.

Responsibilities

Monitor network architecture & infrastructure hardware & software/services
Diagnose connectivity issues using tools & technologies available through the Network Operation Security Center (NOSC)
Develop and maintain system technologies that aid in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, to further assist supporting protective missions
Address problems, troubleshooting and provide technical support to end users needing assistance using supported software, services, hardware, and other approved components
Prepare subject matter reports and technical presentations of issues and resolution of failures and provide specialized support/training to end-users to solve those issues

Required

Possess information technology related experience demonstrating each of the four required competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
You qualify for the GS-13 level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties such as applying network security architecture concepts, analyzing cyber threats, and applying intrusion detection methodologies
U.S. Citizenship is required
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Obtain and maintain a top-secret Tier 5 clearance
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position
Submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination prior to your appointment
Submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter
Complete annual ethics and procurement integrity training
Submit a credit check after a conditional offer of employment has been accepted
Serve a 1-year probationary period
