Responsibilities

Manage, lead, engage and develop Navy Technicians to ensure job satisfaction and career growth
Monitor and ensure that the area operates effectively and meets the organizations goals and objectives aligned with the business purpose
Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meet customer needs and organizational objectives
Ensure safety of the employees and quality of the product throughout all processes
Directly supervises employees working Navy programs in the Technician Department; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, values, and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; developing employees’ skills and encouraging growth; setting expectations and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; establishing positive employee relationships through fair, consistent, and respectful treatment of employees
Continually work to improve supervisory skills

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of two years' experience in a complex assembly environment
Minimum of two years management experience
Minimum of three years' experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS)
Must be willing to work overtime as required
Travel up to 10% of working time
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e., current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. 1157-1158
Security clearance is required for this position
