Responsibilities

Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work efficiently with minimum supervision
Strong leadership skills and the ability to remotely supervise a highly technical staff spread out at multiple locations performing multiple tasks on a daily basis
Must be self-motivated and able to perform the required and expected duties with little or no direct supervision
Supervisory experience with mechanical, controls, and pipeline systems is preferred
Familiarity with centrifugal compressor, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, two and four cycle gas engines, Bristol control systems, Allen Bradley control systems, ignition systems, pneumatic controls, gas measurement, vibration analysis, emissions testing, grounding, electric motors, cooling and heat exchanger systems, plant air systems, electrical systems, UPS systems, backup generators, and all other associated station support systems
Develop & manage projects and O&M budget completing variance analysis and monthly forecasting
Develop business cases in support of equipment modification, additions, and/or replacements
Develop and/or review project scopes, review drawings, and engineering designs for new projects
Analyze and review equipment and facility performance identifying opportunities for improvement through developing of enhanced operating/maintenance procedures and equipment modifications, additions or replacement
Possess an understanding of engine exhaust emissions, use of catalyst and emissions testing requirements
An understanding of applicable environmental regulation including GHG rules and OOOOa
Ability to support the Development of field E&C Technicians across the division by working with plant management to identify technical training needs, and assist in the development and implementation of training programs
Capability to lead testing and progression of division’s E&C techs for promotion
Ability to create reports that measure key division statistics including, but not limited to, relating to reliability
Demonstrates leadership to management and to build successful teams
Ability to lead a highly technical staff that is spread out at multiple locations
Provide technical advice and support to field operations and maintenance personnel
Assist with planning and execution of engine overhaul and maintenance plans through data analysis and technical expertise
Analyze equipment failures, develop corrective actions, and lead failure analysis teams
Strong customer focus in dealing with operations, engineering, environmental, and other internal and external groups
Maintains a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public
Good computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
Solid communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills

Required

A Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or science field is preferred
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree with over five years of commensurate experience with emphasis in compressor station or power plant operation and maintenance, project management, and or plant automation will be considered

Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist
Must be able to see, hear, walk, and talk effectively
Required to carry a company-provided cell phone, and be available to respond during working hours, and non-working hours as needed
Travel is required and anticipated as up to 30% on average, this includes out-of-town nights, sometimes on short notice, and occasional weekend travel
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed
The successful candidate will possess and maintain a valid driver's license, as well as a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
