Brand Manager
Mallard Agency is a strategy-first creative agency built for founder-led brands. The Brand Manager will drive clarity, elevate client experience, and bring strategy to life across creative and execution, while managing client relationships and overseeing project workflows.
Responsibilities
Roll up your sleeves to build and schedule marketing initiatives, including:
Email campaigns and sequences (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.)
Social media content calendars and posts
Light copywriting for emails, ads, landing pages, and social
Basic reporting and insights on campaign performance
Support content production: reviewing assets, coordinating feedback, and ensuring quality and alignment
Step in to unblock workflow when creative, production, or content teams need support
Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for a portfolio of clients
Build strong, trusted relationships with founders, executives, and marketing teams
Push back respectfully and guide clients toward stronger decisions when needed — you are not an order-taker
Manage expectations, timelines, deliverables, and communication across all projects
Anticipate client needs, solve problems before they escalate, and maintain clarity even in fast-moving environments
Own the workflow from strategy → creative → execution → reporting
Build clean briefs, timelines, priorities, and internal communication plans
Coordinate with designers, copywriters, developers, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery
Maintain QA across all deliverables for accuracy, brand consistency, and excellence
Keep multiple accounts organized, prioritized, and moving — even under pressure
Qualification
Required
3–6 years experience in brand management, marketing, account management, or creative strategy
Strong understanding of brand storytelling, positioning, and creative direction
Ability to think conceptually AND execute tactically
Experience with email marketing platforms, social scheduling tools, and basic analytics
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple clients, competing deadlines, and shifting priorities
Calm and confident under pressure — you run toward problems, not away from them
Preferred
Experience working in or with an agency environment preferred
